Ceilidh Munroe
is a Jamaican-Canadian visual artist based in Vancouver, on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. Working across a variety of media including mixed-media installations, painting, and sound, her practice is driven by a deep engagement with materiality, a celebration of joy, and a reimagining of artistic traditions. Munroe’s work often explores diasporic experiences through archives, historical materials, and heirlooms, weaving together past and present. Her work embodies a tactile and immersive approach, inviting audiences to engage with layered narratives of identity, memory, and belonging.
